Our ground-breaking software has been featured in The New York Times and WIRED and is becoming the nation’s most popular government portal for citizens to find election results and understand money in politics. Our tools are already launched in ten US states and are poised for adoption by other state, county, and municipal governments, and even other countries — but we need your help.

Civera is seeking a Project Manager to join our team in our Cambridge, Massachusetts office. The ideal candidate is an experienced Project Manager with a successful track record managing the entire project life cycle, from kickoff to launch. Successful candidates are excellent communicators and collaborative problem-solvers, and can work on several projects in parallel without breaking a sweat. The Project Manager has the primary responsibility of delivering the projects that match our government customers’ objectives – including timeframes, quality excellence, customer satisfaction, and budget. 

Responsibilities

  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment
  • Responsible for project planning, overall project scope and management of costs/budgets
  • Facilitate decision-making on project priorities while effectively balancing multiple needs and drive communication channels with key stakeholders
  • A collaborative approach with strong working relationships with project team members
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Direct and coordinate all activities of client engagements to ensure that project goals are accomplished
  • Create and manage project timelines and document meeting notes, progress, and risks
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Run UAT phase and work with the customer to launch their new web application
  • Manage logistics for trainings, meetings and other special events

Requirements

  • 2+ years project management experience in SaaS
  • Government, politics, or elections experience is a big plus
  • Technical and data experience, ability to understand client integration and manage client UAT phase
  • Strong facilitation skills (operational, progress and status meetings)
  • Able to coordinate across virtual geo-distributed teams, as needed
  • Able to quickly adapt to and learn new technology interfaces
  • Effective time management skills, with a strong ability to manage multiple projects and timelines
  • Experience using project management, ticketing, and knowledge-base systems, such as Atlassian JIRA, Confluence
  • Experience using collaborative tools like Google Docs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working with Lean/Kanban/Agile teams is a plus.

Salary & Benefits

$60,000 – $90,000 annual salary, depending on experience. Health benefits, flexible schedule, and paid time off included.
